My Body Life Experience

As many of us eventually realize, as workaholics, ‘the dream’ follows a similar path that our parents, our family and peers expect of us, and our society views as the normal and accepted path to eventual happiness.

As a corporate executive and technologist, I have spent most of my work and academic career, which represents much of my life, developing my knowledge and brainpower. Perhaps mentally gifted in math and sciences as a child, I have utilized this gift along with a high work ethic and perseverance to achieve the successes and a livelihood, that today, my family and I are blessed.

Late in my career and over a series of personal and professional experiences, my career and life took an unexpected redirection. After taking a Somatic embodied leadership course, I discovered something incredibly transformational – the power of the body. The experiences from this course, motivated me to read some inspiring literature on the same subject. I also changed my daily habits towards meditation, mindfulness and reorienting my priorities to achieve greater mind and body balance.

As an executive leader, this new experience has remarkably changed my leadership approach, and as a father and husband – it made me realize what amazing gifts, I have in front of me every day with my family. Today, I strive to live in the moment every day, every minute and every second of my life. This rediscovery changes how I approach everything and anyone in my life.

As a founding member, I sincerely believe in the core values that Sense is about.
